Restaurant Radios- Our History!

My wife Dagne and I own one of Rhode Island's largest two-way radio dealerships, Challenge Electronics. During our history, we as part of our communications business worked with many fine hotels and restaurants on working solutions to their specific needs, anything from the wedding planner, caterer, restaurant front end, Executive Chef working to get hot food to the table, to hotel security and special event planning. The idea for Restaurant Radios was that this industry needed a direct resource for a service we were already providing.

We also love our restaurant friends, and if I could be in another profession, it would be in a restaurant kitchen (my wife thinks I'm crazy, she worked 20 years in restaurants in Pt. Pleasant, NJ).

I've even had the chance to cook with several of RI's best Chef's, in some of the nations best restaurants, cooking right along side them, teaching me tricks I could never have learned in a lifetime of amateur cooking. Tempura, sauces, from New Japan, Roast Duck with a real Demi-glaze from scratch, plus several side dish's and deserts from Providence's Pot au Feu's amateur "Ecole de Cuisine".
